You can check out all volunteer roles and a brief description for each here.

Please submit your details and the volunteer team will allocate you a role depending on what time you are available. All of our roles involve interaction with athletes or spectators and you do not need any experience to undertake a role. Information will be provided before the event and you will receive a full briefing on the day too.

Yes absolutely – we have afternoon roles as well so please submit your registration and we will be in touch with the most suitable role and further information.

We have to allocate roles based on availability and the requirements of our event. We ask that you attend your shift and give the role a go – it may be something brand new to you but you may love it! If you aren’t comfortable during the event please speak to your Team Leader of one of the Volunteer Management Team.

There are car parking facilities for cars and coaches, car parking is free for competitors, volunteers, and staff. You must show your vehicle access pass on arrival – you will be sent this digitally in advance of the event.

Please let your supervisor know ahead of the time you need to leave in case we need to find cover for you.

All volunteers will select their preferred event upon registering. Following the events season in October all volunteers will then receive an email from our registration platform Let’s do This with an invitation to register. Any issues contact volunteers@motivsports.co.uk

We will be allocating roles and shifts throughout March and April. We have a large number of factors to consider when doing this, so please allow time for this process to take place. If you have not heard from us by the end of April please email the team at blenheimvolunteers@motivsports.com
The Volunteer Handbook will be sent out in May and contain more details about event day, your role and other questions you may have.

This is an outdoor event and weather can be unpredictable – make sure you bring extra warm and dry layers. We will provide ponchos for use in wet weather. Equally, if the weather is forecast to be warm make sure you are prepared for that with sun cream, hats, and suitable clothing.
Please wear smart/casual black trousers and comfortable, ideally non-branded, closed toe shoes or trainers. All clothing should be clean and presentable – baggy trousers, blue/ripped jeans and sandals are not acceptable.

There are no specific skills needed – if there are we will add them to the role descriptions. If you feel you have useful skills we should know about please add this to your registration form and we will allocate a role suitable to you.

All volunteers should feel that they have all the necessary information to carry out their specific roles. The Volunteer Handbook will be sent to volunteers 2-3 weeks ahead of the event.
On arrival, volunteers will be met by a Team Leader or Supervisor who will give them a full briefing explaining what is required.
Supervisors will also allocate volunteer breaks and be responsible for general welfare. If there are any issues, please raise them immediately with the supervisor or volunteer team if necessary.

Please do plan your route and give yourself some extra time to get to your volunteer location, Blenheim Palace is situated in the picturesque and historic town of Woodstock, 8 miles northwest of Oxford on the A44 Evesham Road and approximately a one-hour drive from the outskirts of both London and Birmingham.
